Goals
Obtain donated goods and funds to benefit war-afflicted children positively in regards to health, welfare and education from Liberians living in the US, well-to-do Liberians and from Americans willing to assist internationally.
To work in conjunction with pastors, school principals and medical health professionals in the Republic of Liberia to ensure proper distribution to the neediest.
To enhance mental health literacy, mental health awareness and to provide career counseling to encourage further education and provide employment.
Specifications
A non-profit organization is being organized to obtain these goals. It is based in Aberdeen, SD and is in conjunction with Pastor Austin Kanah of the Church of Redemption Praise Chapel Ministry, Inc. located in Banjor, Lower Virginia, Montserrado County, Republic of Liberia, West Africa. Milestones
2013
Patrick A. Sowah graduates from the University of Liberia in Monrovia, attends a conference in Ohio, USA and upon his return, decides to move to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree and a doctorate in order to improve the lives of not only his own family, but those of all Liberians.
2014
Patrick A. Sowah ships four barrels of goods at his own expense to Pastor Clinton in Monrovia, Liberia, which are then distributed directly to needy children in the community.
2015-present
Patrick A. Sowah sponsors over 600 children by providing for their $50 annual school fees and by paying for doctor bills for the needy. An acre of land was purchased in 2018 by Mr. Sowah in Kolahun, Lofa County, Northern Liberia.
October 2021
Patrick A. Sowah works in conjunction with American friends and associates to provide 10 barrels of donated goods and educational fees to children in the Republic of Liberia through a grant. Subsequently, a non-profit organization idea is formed from ideas sparked between this group of friends who all desire to assist others less fortunate.
